The Stockroom: A Small Business With a Big Legacy in Kink, Community & Creation
Since 1988, The Stockroom has remained one of the most enduring privately-owned small businesses in the adult industry. What began as a personal project by founder Joel Tucker has become a space that helps shape modern kink retail, define BDSM education, and provides a home for creators, learners, and explorers across the globe.
More than 37 years later, we are still independently owned, still community-driven, and still committed to building the future of fetish culture.
A Small Business With Global Reach
While much of the adult industry has shifted toward large corporations, The Stockroom continues to operate as a Los Angeles-based small business. More than half of our products are still manufactured in-house, right here in LA, by craftspeople who have perfected their skills over decades.
Many members of our production team have been with us for 20+ years, bringing legacy techniques, exceptional consistency, and old-school craftsmanship to every piece we create.
We don’t cut corners.
We don’t knock off creators.
We collaborate, innovate, and uphold the integrity of our community.
Pioneers of Online Kink Retail
The Stockroom’s legacy began long before Kink became mainstream. In the early 1990s when the internet was still experimental, The Stockroom became one of the first online businesses, offering kink gear, latex, bondage tools, and education long before e-commerce was widespread.
This pioneering spirit continues to fuel us today: resourceful, creative, and unapologetically kink-forward.
A Community Hub: Shop, Learn, Play & Create
From day one, The Stockroom has been more than a store. We have always been a community space where people come to explore kink safely, creatively, and with respect.
The Stockroom Boutique — Silver Lake’s Fetish Landmark
Our boutique features curated collections from established makers and emerging designers. It’s a place where people can ask questions, discover new tools, and tap into a knowledgeable, welcoming staff.
Flea Markets — A Launchpad for New Creators
Our outdoor flea markets have become a cornerstone of LA’s kink community. We offer a place for vendors to set up booths, show their creations, engage with customers, and grow their brands! All while we bring in food, DJs, and entertainment to make it a full community event.
Some of our beloved brands launched or expanded their reach at our market tables.
Stockroom University — Education for Everyone
Our educational program offers hands-on classes taught by professionals at the top of their craft. From rope to sensation play to advanced kink disciplines, Stockroom University creates a space for both beginners and pros to learn, explore, and sharpen their skills.
Championing Small Makers & Emerging Brands
For more than 30 years, we’ve stood alongside independent creators — including the late Victor Tella — championing both emerging and established makers and helping them connect with the audience they’ve earned.
Busted Brand
We first connected with Busted Brand when they purchased overstock latex from us early in their journey. Today, his business has grown into a creative force — and this year we collaborated on a Busted X Stockroom pop-up shop inside our boutique.

Neon Coyotes
What started collaborating with Stockroom as a flea-market vendor and has since transformed into a rising brand. Neon Coyotes recently earned an XBIZ Award nomination, and we’re proud to be part of their story. Known for working with high-end, luxury Italian leather, the brand brings color palettes almost never seen in fetish gear: juicy, saturated hues that feel both couture and rebellious. Their commitment to customization lets customers express themselves through bold color, hardware choices, and bespoke details that turn each piece into a one-of-a-kind statement.

And then there’s their signature touch: Brat Tamer, a custom fragrance that has become a cult favorite among their fans. It’s playful, provocative, and unmistakably Neon Coyotes — a sensory signature that extends their brand beyond leather and into experience.
Luxx Gear — The Kinkbag
The moment we saw the Luxx Gear Kinkbag, it was clear the industry was missing a truly luxury, functional accessory. By recognizing the need — and where we could support — we built a distribution partnership that helped the brand scale while the founder continued to refine and perfect every detail. Their meticulous craftsmanship makes these bags essential for kinksters who demand both style and performance from their gear.

Hannah Studio
Where kink meets the runway. Hannah Studio merges high fashion and BDSM in a way we’ve never seen before — architectural silhouettes, couture materials, and editorial-level styling infused with functional fetishwear. This is kink couture at its boldest: wearable art designed for those who move seamlessly between the playroom and the fashion world. Their pieces feel like the future, and we’re proud to showcase their vision.

Demon Kitty
Demon Kitty is redefining sensation and impact play with implements crafted from luxurious, exotic woods. Each piece is a work of art — weighted, balanced, and shaped for precision. Their craftsmanship bridges beauty and brutality, turning impact toys into heirloom-quality tools. Demon Kitty brings a fresh, elevated aesthetic to the scene while staying rooted in thoughtful, intentional kink design.

FAETEX
One of our own, Eva began her journey into latex after discovering the material through a local LA dominatrix. While working at The Stockroom/Syren, she trained in the craft of latex construction and fell in love with the process. After years of practice, she launched FAETEX to bring unique, one-of-a-kind latex pieces to fellow enthusiasts.

Our Space. Our Community. Our Future.
We have the brand trust.
We have the space.
We have the clientele.
We have the history to stand on and the vision to evolve.
The Stockroom is a rare kind of business: independent, long-standing, and rooted in craftsmanship. We’re honored to continue serving a community that has shaped us as much as we’ve shaped it.
